I was lucky enough to meet a massive heard of African buffalo (Syncerus caffer) crossing the road in Kruger National Park, and then realised we where completely surrounded. Despite their size, they are extremely quiet animals, and a few hundred of them slowly walk around our car. I got a shot of this male, who was standing only a few meters away.
